PAMCMF awarded funding for 6 additional Lucas devices to the Midland County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Advisory Board, bringing the total of PAMCMF-funded Lucas devices for Midland County EMS to 14 over the past 24 months. EMS personnel across Midland County have or are being trained on use of the Lucas device. The Lucas device is a mechanical CPR device used to reduce first responder fatigue in performing CPR, thereby increasing the potential to save lives of patients in cardiac arrest.
